And so, with a vote of 3 to 1, it was decided that the movie of the night would be 'Harvey.'  The lone dissenter put his paw in for 'Lady and the Tramp' yet again, only to have it voted down for the fifth night in a row.



:)  This lovely trio of buns - Chrissy, Joyce, and Jack - are adoptables with the Sweetpea Foundation Rabbit Rescue of California!  You can read more about these cuties here... apparently they like to act like their foster family's dog and cat and jump right up on the couch to watch movies!  Well, why not?  Looks pretty comfy to me!  ;)  Good luck, buns!!  Hope you find the perfect movie buff human soon!  :)

...Okay, I'm totally circulating rumors here... these bunnies aren't paired together (yet?! heh), but I'm pretty sure that dog's sharing secrets...


***URGENT BUN ALERT!!***  These two supercuties, Denver and Shangri-la, are both adoptables from Los Angeles, CA, and RabbitMatch is trying very, very hard to find each of these two a temporary or permanent home!  They are VABs (Very Adoptable Bunnies), with great temperaments and hoppy souls, and they are 'ready to go'!!  There is also one more in this little home-ready bunch, Quicksilver, who you can see on the RabbitMatch website.

Story is: they are currently at a city shelter, and the number of buns is too high... making it VERY worrisome for the harder-to-adopt buns' safety... if you know anyone in the LA area (or anywhere!  Our Boston bun came from LA ;)  ) who can temporarily or permanently shelter these cuties to help make room for all the bunnies who need it, please go to RabbitMatch.org for more info!

Cat:  The peasants are revolting my liege.
Bun:  Did you tell them they could have cake?
Cat:  I did; but they took it wrong.
Bun:  Seal the castle and get to the roof!

Keepin' the Peace

Okay, okay - so this isn't the usual Daily Bunny fare, but it's still pretty amazing... Check out this bunny recess gone awry, until... the Chicken Teacher Aides step in to regulate!!  You can almost hear the bunnies get a talking-to... and in the end, when the chickens are satisfied with their work and walk away... priceless. 

Stanley Practices for His Big Date

"Bonjour, mademoiselle!  *mwa!*  Ahh, what is that lovely scent you are wearing?  You smell magnifique!  Very -- ehh, how you say ?  -- like carrots, freshly pulled from the ground... delicious!" 


This carrot-colored cutie is Stanley, who's currently residing with the folks of the Colorado House Rabbit Society, and will soon be adoptable!  You can read more about him and other adorable adoptables here! 

...Okay, so he's probably not actually French... still looks like a romantic to me, though.  ;)

Ginger the feline set stylist: "Wait!  Wait!!  There's a fur out of place, hold everything!!  We can't shoot the morning scene unless he looks perfectly soft and disheveled-but-not-actually-disheveled!!"

Newman the star bun: "Thank you, darling, whatever would I do without you??  I owe all my Oscars to you, I really do..."

Newman, you are fabulous!!  A serious Hollywood star right there... born with the beautiful genes.  Check out this handsome devil on his Petfinder page here!   Newman is currently in foster care (with some kitties :)  ) with the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society, and is up for adoption!   Good luck, Newman... I'm sure you'll find stylists fawning over your snow white fur wherever you go.  ;)

Bedtime Buddies

Bunny: "Good night, Teddy, sleep tight!  Don't let the bed bugs bite!"
Teddy: *whisper-whisper*
Bunny: "I love you too, Teddy!  I hope you dream of honey jars and blackberries!  goodnight..."  *zzzz...*

Awww :P  even bunnies need teddy bears! 

This supersoft-looking bun is named Fun Bun, hehe :)  and is up for adoption with the Heartland Rabbit Rescue in Oklahoma!  Apparently, Fun Bun is always in pursuit of a good time :)  (cited hobbies include: "party planning, socializing")  :D  Awesome.  Read more about Fun Bun (and a bunch of other buns) here!  Party on, Fun Bun, party on.  ;)

Bunny Stepmom adopts baby kittens!!!  SOOOOOO CUTE!!! 

Haha, I LOVE the very tolerant but bewildered face on the new bunny mom.  :D  Those kittens look like a hand (er, paw)ful!  :P 

Okay, so this is sort of "old news" now (from late November), but I just stumbled upon this awesome article on wayodd.com, a blog about unusual news... I also found a post about the same story on the Hopper Home blog, a rescue we've featured bunnies from before -- Apparently, a veterinary nurse in Scotland took home six kittens to care for, thinking that her own cat would be a surrogate mother for them... but instead, the kittens ended up adopting her pet bunny Summer as a stepmom instead!!   Hee!!  SO adorable!!  It looks like Summer is a pretty patient mom!  :D  (For more reading, here's a BBC article on the adoption.)   So warm and fuzzy!  :D
